Honduras — from the “quebrando news” van

Headed out of Sna Pedro to the town of El Progreso where the military-backed president is from. It’s surrounded by banana plantation. Very few people support him there. Amusingly enough we ended up driving past his house — pink in color but then again many are here. There were soldiers hanging out in the front that were clearly bothered by us being there shooting video. Monica, the petite, Colombian reporter I’m working with who is completely fearless, went right up to the gate and called the guy lounging on the couch over. A guy one might describe as “douchy” or “cheesey” came up and looked at her like a she was a stripper and his pockets were full of dollar bills. He was one of the new president’s sons. Here’s the story we did from there, it’s about the local economy : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEAD25irjuw&feature=channel
