how are you? Are you still in New Orleans? I have finally returned to my home in Kenner. It was wonderful to sleep in my own bed after 3 weeks.
Our house has no damage. My family is rather devastated, however. My parents have 4 feet of water in their house in Metairie, my sister has 10 feet of water in her house in Lakeview, my youngest sister’s house was looted in Uptown and my brother’s house has a tree across it in Mandeville. My two college children have lost their jobs and my youngest son misses his school and friends terribly.
We are all well and feel very, very blessed considering what could have happened. My siblings, parents and dog are living with us now. It’s a little crowded, but we are a close knit family.
