She always brought in bagels on the weekends. She’d tell me all about her gambling trips. And she always wanted to know what I was up to. Fran Lewine was a special woman. Before I left for Baghdad I made it a point to have dinner with her. Before I left CNN I made it a point to have dinner with her. She called me on my last week at CNN to see how I was doing. I’ll miss her dearly.
